Has your child recently picked up badminton and wants to start taking it more seriously? This Beginner Level group class is the perfect place to level up their game! This class is for students ages 8 to 17. Over the course of 8 weeks, they'll learn from a coach the techniques of hitting & footwork, and the basics of singles & doubles game theory:
Racket grip & position - learn how to hold a racket to perform different forehand and backhand swings, and how to comfortably switch between them
Swing mechanics & timing - learn how different arm movements and contact timing result in a smash, drop, clear, lift, or drive
Movement & conditioning - learn the basic footwork and body mechanics to be able to efficiently move to all corners of the court
Gameplay & theory - learn the differences between singles and doubles play, get introduced to basic game theory of positioning and shot placement, and receive practice in short-form live gameplay
COST: $320.00 (pre-registration offer) or $55.00 (single class rate)

Plan on only having them attend a couple of sessions? Pay $55.00 per class!
DATES & TIMES - this group class will meet at Cardinal Badminton on Tuesdays from 6:00pm - 7:30pm starting May 5th and ending June 23rd:
Month of May:
05/05, Week 1 - breaking down the forehand grip, split step, and chasse step; learning the forehand clear
05/12, Week 2 - breaking down the backhand grip and lunge step; learning the forehand & backhand drives, and frontcourt drops, lifts, & kills
05/19, Week 3 - learning the backhand clears and backcourt drop shots
05/26, Week 4 - learning and practicing doubles offensive & defensive rotations
Month of June:
06/02, Week 5 - learning proper conditioning to increase stamina and footwork efficiency
06/09, Week 6 - learning singles game theory and practicing with live game simulations
06/16, Week 7 - learning doubles game theory and practicing with live game simulations
06/23, Week 8 - cohort intramural up-down practice games
PAYMENT POLICY - RSVP'ing to this class through this page does not secure you a spot in the class.
After RSVP'ing through this sign-up page, you will be sent an invoice via email to secure your spot in the class
If you do not receive an invoice from us after 48 hours of RSVP'ing, please contact us via email
If you do not submit payment upon 72 hours of the invoice being sent and there is an active waitlist, your spot will be removed with the next registrant on the waitlist being moved up
Once all RSVP'd spots have been paid for, RSVPs for registration and the waitlist for this class will close
